Sunflower Services would like to be a part of your intricate journey of Individual Living Options (ILO). Our dynamic team, comprising over 100 support workers, brings a wealth of diverse skills and experiences, ensuring a tailored approach to meet your unique needs.

Personalised ILO

Embracing a trauma-informed lens, our Support Workers provide compassionate assistance, guided by accomplished Team Leaders who are graduates in social work or psychology. This mentorship and leadership contribute to a holistic approach, ensuring comprehensive care.

Our support extends beyond the daylight hours, encompassing overnight assistance, medication support and support with self-care. Sunflower Services stands ready to be your ally in achieving independence, offering the expertise of caring, professional, and down-to-earth carers who are passionate about enabling you to live life on your terms.

How Our ILO Process Works

Every ILO journey is unique, but our approach is consistent, caring, and centred around you.

Initial Inquiry

We hear from a support coordinator, family member, advocate, or participant, and respond within 48 hours.

Assess Living Requirements

We confirm ILO funding, assess accessibility needs, and find a location that suits the participant.

Assess Support Worker Preferences

We consider preferred gender, age, interests, and hobbies to find the right support match.

Understand Support Needs

We gather reports and insights from coordinators to get a full picture of support requirements.

Home Walkthrough

Participants visit the property to ensure it feels right for them and their needs.

Transition Planning

We prepare the home to ensure it’s fully set up with everything the participant needs to feel safe and supported.

Move-In Day

The big day! The participant is welcomed into their fully furnished home and meets their team.

Ongoing Check-Ins

We regularly check that everything is working well, the home, the support team, the schedule, and adjust as needed.

With over five years of experience in the mental health and disability sector, Jodie brings a proactive, people-first approach to her role as National Accommodation Manager at Sunflower. Her background spans Short-Term Accommodation, Day Programs, and Supported and Individualised Living, with a strong focus on participant wellbeing and connection.

Jodie is passionate about creating homes where people feel supported, understood, and empowered to live independently. She leads our accommodation services nationally, ensuring smooth communication, strong participant matching, and quality support across every region.

Outside of work, Jodie’s an early riser who loves staying active, spending time by the water, and enjoying good music. She values empathy, collaboration, and helping people thrive in safe and meaningful environments.
