The Central Coast
We have two homes on the Central Coast and support workers across the northern end, from Budgewoi down through Wyong.
Sunflower Services is a registered NDIS provider working across Newcastle, the Hunter and the Central Coast. On the Coast we have an individualised living home at Budgewoi and a supported living home at Hamlyn Terrace, with support workers covering the surrounding suburbs for people living at home or with family.
We will be straight about the scale. The Central Coast is a smaller part of our operation than Newcastle or Maitland, and most of our accommodation sits further north. If what you need is a supported living placement with lots of options to compare, we may not be the widest choice on the Coast, and we would rather say so than waste your time.
Each of these has its own page with current vacancies, photographs, bedroom and bathroom detail and a description of the street.
A four bedroom supported living home with two bathrooms, in a newer estate close to Wadalba and the Pacific Highway.
Two bedroom individualised living, a short drive from the lake and Budgewoi shops.
Help with daily routines, getting out and about, appointments and the ordinary business of a week, from workers matched to how you like things done.
Making sense of a plan, choosing providers and getting supports actually running, then keeping them working once they are.
Shared homes with support available around the clock.
A living arrangement built around one person rather than a vacancy, with support sized to suit.
Short Term Respite, previously called short term accommodation. A real break for carers and a change of scene for participants.
Working alongside someone living with mental health challenges to build routine, confidence and direction at their pace.
Support work and coordination across the Central Coast and the surrounding suburbs.
If your suburb is not on this list it is still worth asking. Travel time affects what is practical for shorter shifts, but we would rather tell you honestly than leave you guessing.
There is no complicated process. Call or send a message saying roughly what you are after, and we will tell you whether we can help and what it would look like. If we are not the right fit, we will say so.
If you are looking at supported living, the next step is usually a visit. Seeing the house and meeting the people already living there tells you more than any description can.
Our homes are at Hamlyn Terrace and Budgewoi, both at the northern end. Support work and coordination reach further south, but travel time affects what is practical for shorter shifts around Gosford and below.
Honestly, it depends what you are after. For support work, coordination or recovery coaching the number of houses is irrelevant. For a supported living placement, two homes is a narrow choice and you may want to look at our Hunter homes as well, or at other providers. We would rather say that than pretend otherwise.
Yes, and that is most of what we do on the Coast. Support work in your own home or your family's home, built around your routine.
We match local workers where we can, and most Central Coast shifts are covered by people who live on the Coast. For specialist supports it is sometimes someone travelling, and we will tell you if that is the case.
Short Term Respite, previously called short term accommodation, is available. What it looks like depends on dates and what is free at the time, so it is worth asking early rather than close to when you need it.
All three work. We are a registered NDIS provider, so agency managed plans can use us too.
We work on the Central Coast from our Hunter base. See everything we deliver across Newcastle and the Hunter, or browse all supported living homes and individualised living options.
